Elementary Idea of Robotics | Application of Robot | block diagram | sensor

What Is Robotics & Robot

Robotics is an interesting creation of Engineering. today we can see the robots in our daily life . Robotics is a combination of Electronics, electrical, mechanical and computer science engineering. there is an elementary idea of Robotics give bellow.

'ROBOT'  terms comes from Russian language 'Robo' means Slave .

Robot is a programable electromechanical device ; Controlled or manual , that can perform task  and interact with its environment; without the aid of human interference.

Types of Robot

we can classified the robot in three basic type

i. Manually Control Robot.

ii. Fully Automated Robot.

iii. Semi Automated Robot.

but there are more types of robot Available , such as

i.  Humanoid Robots

ii. Teleoperated Robots

iii. Augmenting Robots

Application Area of Robot

1. Medical

2.Factory or Manufacturing plant

3. Car making

4.army

5.home

6.security

7.neuclear power plant

8.cleaing

9. Space

Application of Robot

  • Helping fight forest fires
  • Working alongside humans in manufacturing plants (known as co-bots)
  • Robots that offer companionship to elderly individuals
  • Surgical assistants
  • Last-mile package and food order delivery
  • Autonomous household robots that carry out tasks like vacuuming and mowing the grass
  • Assisting with finding items and carrying them throughout warehouses
  • Used during search-and-rescue missions after natural disasters
  • Landmine detectors in war zones

Fundamental or Main components of Robot

1. Sensor

2.Actuator

3.Control System

4. Power supply.

Proximity Sensor

A proximity sensor is a sensor able to detect the presence of nearby objects without any physical contact. A proximity sensor often emits an electromagnetic field or a beam of electromagnetic radiation (infrared, for instance), and looks for changes in the field or return signal.

Types of Proximity Sensor

  • Inductive (metal checking)

  • capacitive (level measurement)

  • Opto-elective ( obstacle detecting )

Limit Switch

In electrical engineering a limit switch is a switch operated by the motion of a machine part or presence of an object. They are used for controlling machinery as part of a control system, as a safety interlocks, or to count objects passing a point

Semi conductor Displacement sensor

A Displacement Sensor is a device that measures the distance between the sensor and an object by detecting the amount of displacement through a variety of elements and converting it into a distance.
